I went to a systems seminar where a deep learning architect from NVIDIA talked about parallelism. Some of the topics overlapped with what I've been learning in Systems for AI. It was okay.

After that, I went to class and tried to work on my assignment. I was with a friend, though, and we kept chatting instead of getting much work done.

I went to my first Halloween potluck tonight. I brought drinks, while the others made food. The dishes were all spooky and Halloween-themed, which was pretty interesting to see. They tasted good, too.

We watched a horror movie afterward. It was a pretty unusual one, with few jump scares. I'm usually not good with horror movies, but I didn't find this one scary at all. It was more interesting than frightening.

I met some new friends, and they were nice. It's been nice getting invited to these parties and events. I'm enjoying it.
